Alex & Stephenie - e.Session

I had only spoken to Alex and Stephanie on the phone a couple of times so last night I was excited to meet them for the first time. I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to photograph; they were very easy to talk to and were great in front of the camera. It didn’t take long and I felt like I had known them for quite some time already.
They wanted their engagement session to be at the Basilica because Alex had proposed to Stephenie there. They're in the Canadian Armed Forces and are moving out west in a few weeks. Although they had only spent a short time in our city they wanted to remember all the good times they had here. We ended up with some creative and amazing images and I can't wait to get some of these up on the website.

Thanks for a great night and I can't wait to show you the rest of the images.

James & Candace's Wedding - Part 1

It was a real privilege to photograph James & Candace’s wedding yesterday. I had so much fun with them and they were amazing to work with. Everything went smoothly yesterday until the Millennium center wasn't open when it was supposed to be. This is one of my favorite places to shoot in the city and it was closed! I thought Candace was going to freak, but she took it in stride and we decided to keep shooting in the exchange district. I was still a little disappointed until I saw IT! That golden glow in the distance, IT was a ripening wheat field. I pulled the car over as fast as I could and everyone seemed very excited with our find. These ended being my favorite shots from the day, and we wouldn't have had time for these images had we got into the Millennium Center. It was a terrific day with wonderful weather and a great reception followed.
Thanks for a great day!

James & Candace's Wedding - Part 2

Joanne & Gilles's Wedding

We had a wonderful day last Saturday. Weather wise we had a bit of everything; the most exciting part was getting caught in a heavy downpour at the Basilica. Joanne and Gilles were real troopers and didn't let the weather get them down. They had a great attitude and it was a lot of fun to be a part of their wedding day.

Thanks and it was a privilege to photograph your wedding.

A little break from city life

After a long week of packing up the house, the big moving finally came. On Sunday we had the chance to relax at the cottage and distress from the week. It was a great little break and I even got the opportunity to wander off with my camera. I was able to find a few neat shots. Taking nature photographs is always a nice change, it gave me a little break and got me refreshed and ready for the weddings ahead for this summer. I hope you enjoy these shots from the cabin.
