Lauren & Chad - e.Session #2

Lauren & Chad have chosen to get married at the family farm, so last week I headed out to there to check out the location and do another e.Session with them around the property. We had a great time and it was a wonderful opportunity to shoot in unique locations. Lauren took us to an old farm house that burnt down, leaving only the stone foundation. It was hard to miss the golden wheat fields, which we had to use, but my favourite images came just after a truck drove down the gravel road and the dust filled the air. I had Lauren and Chad walk into the sun with the cloud surrounding them and the images turned out amazing!

Thanks for a great evening and for the much-needed Watkins!

Vicki & Drew - e.Session #2

I had been looking for a vintage love seat for the past year and a couple weeks ago I finally found it! With Vicki & Drew being my first couple since the find, I had to use it. Vicki & Drew are getting married in December, and they would like to have engagement images from three seasonal photo shoots to use in their custom-made guest book. I photographed them at the Forks for their winter session; this was their summer session, which we did out at Birds Hill Park. We had a beautiful evening, despite all the mosquitos! My two favorite images from the session are the vintage-looking image with the love seat, and the very last image on the beach with the sunset.

I know they are going to be thrilled with how they turned out and I can't wait for the fall session!

Melissa & Ryan - wedddings

Melissa and Ryan really lucked out with the weather for their wedding as it poured the day before, however on their special day the rain cleared up and we were able to spend most of our time outside.
All the guys, including Ryan, played a ton of football growing up so it was a given that we would head over to the football field for some shots. It was then time to meet up with the girls as they got ready. The ceremony was short and sweet, with each of them writing their own vows for each other. After the ceremony we were off to Assiniboine park and the Legislative building, where Melissa soon drew a large crowd that was taking a tour of the building. I think at one point there must have been 40 or 50 people watching us! The day was capped off with a beautiful reception that had great food, meaningful speeches, and a lot of fun on the dance floor.

Shae & Tyler's wedding

Shae and Tyler were a wonderful couple to photograph. They were very meticulous in planning their day, making sure everything was perfect and exactly how they wanted it, and all their hard work paid off.
The day started with the girls getting their hair and makeup done at Oxfords on Osborne. Afterwards I met up with the guys and we photographed in the Exchange and the Millennium Centre. Then I was once again off to meet the girls, heading to the Leo Mol sculpture gardens since we had some time before the ceremony. Shae and Tyler chose to have a beautiful and intimate gathering at The Gates on Roblin, and this carried over to a stunning and inviting reception. We did manage to squeeze a few pictures in between the ceremony and reception. It was wonderful day and my favorite images came with the two of them in the fields.
