Ashley & Gavin's wedding

During the late fall we've had amazing weather which has worked out great for couples getting married. Ashley & Gavin did have one of the cooler fall days but there was no snow so that is always a bonus. Gavin is a country boy while Ashley is a city girl, so they decided to have the ceremony in the city and the reception out in the country, close to the family farm. The flowers were once again very beautiful and from Whyte Ridge Academy Florist. We ended up doing most of the shooting on their farm and got some great shots. They had a wonderful wedding party and I had a lot of fun with them. My favorite image from the day came in the field with them kissing.

Jenn & Andrew - Lifestyle session

I had a great time photographing Jenn and Andrew and their little son out at Birds Hill Park. Despite the FRIGID fall weather, we got some great shots. Their little guy was a trooper and lasted as long as he could in the cold, but eventually he joined his grandma and I had some alone time with Jenn and Andrew. It was their anniversary and they decided that they would get some portraits taken as part of the celebration.

I really love these images and I had an awesome time with your family.

The Grand Wedding Showcase

This past weekend I was lucky enough to be invited to display my work at the new Grand Wedding Showcase. The event was held at the newly remodeled Fort Garry Place, which had a wonderful feel for the entire event. Weddings in Winnipeg did an awesome job organizing everything and it was a great opportunity to meet a lot of couples and talk with other local vendors. I hope you had a chance to check out the event, if not, make sure you make it out next year.

Here are a few images of the booth, which was designed by my talented and beautiful wife. We got great responses from people who appreciated the warm and inviting decor.

Kim & Andrew - wedding

I had an awesome time photographing Kim and Andrew's wedding. Kim is originally from Winnipeg but Andrew comes from out East, so it was nice to show off some of the beautiful spots Winnipeg has to offer, including The Forks, the Millenium Centre and the Exchange District. Andrew also got to experience Winnipeg's crazy weather since it ended up snowing on their fall wedding day.

I really enjoyed working with Kim and Andrew, especially as Andrew's quick sense of humour always kept us laughing.
Thanks for a fun day!

Growing up!

The last month and a half has been the busiest time this year. I finally had to just make some time to head down to the park with my wife and son. Here are a few of our favorite images from the afternoon.
