Christine & Devon - Trash the Dress

Christine and Devon are celebrating their first anniversary, so it's nice to be able to post these images to mark the occasion. They got married in Ottawa, but since Devon's from Winnipeg, Christine thought it would be great to do a Trash the Dress session out at Victoria Beach. I love it when brides are ready to let their dress get a little dirty!

We had a lot of fun with the shoot, and I really like the last set of images since it captures their personalities so well.

Congrats on the first year of marriage!

Weddings In Winnipeg

Over the last couple years I have developed a wonderful working relationship with Weddings In Winnipeg. They have been amazing for allowing me submit and publish some of my weddings and engagement stories. In the latest issue you can find Nicole & Chris's engagement story as well as a spread of images all titled Vintage Charm. You can check these out in the magazine or online @

Have a great day!

Lauren & Adam - e.Session

Lauren and Adam's wedding is coming up fast but we managed to squeeze in an e.Session a little while ago. Lauren wanted us to shoot in her parents' back yard because of the beautiful tree there. I love it when a bride or groom chooses a specific location that has special meaning. After that we headed to Birds Hill Park for some great fall shots. The evening light and weather gave such an awesome feel to these images. I love the ones in the grass.

Looking forward to the wedding this weekend!

Tom & Sandy - wedding

Tom and Sandy were such an easy couple to work with because they were excited about their wedding day but still so relaxed at the same time. I really enjoyed seeing the way all their family around them were involved and so happy about this wedding. Mac, Tom's son, seemed proud to stand up for his dad, and Sandy's sister travelled to Winnipeg to be part of their special day and stand up for the bride.

This first set of photos was taken at a building nearby Tom and Sandy's house. I've been wanting to shoot there for a long time because it has so much architectural interest so I was glad to have the opportunity with Tom and Mac. I think it's pretty cool that father and son got to spend this time together and have it captured like this.

Sandy chose Assiniboine Park for her images and this casual yet beautiful setting suited her perfectly. She was such a happy bride and I think these images captured that.

After the ceremony we headed over to Breezy Bend, the site of their reception, and got some really great shots. Tom and Sandy are members here so this location reflected what they enjoy to do. I love the way the sun breaks through and how light can add so much interest to an image. Tom and Sandy had a great time riding around on the golf carts too.

Thanks Tom and Sandy for a really beautiful yet relaxed day. I enjoyed the warm and close feel of your entire wedding.
