I really appreciated some of the personal and unique touches that Nikki and Todd included into their wedding day. First of all, they wanted to start their day alone as a couple before the wedding party joined them and wedding busyness began. I enjoyed this time with them because the portraits we were able to create are really personal and intimate.
The Exchange District was the place to be for this wedding. Since we were a little unsure of the weather, we took full advantage of the amazing architecture Winnipeg has to offer in its heritage buildings. The Hamilton Building is always a favourite but we managed to find some unique shots both here and at the Millennium Centre, where the wedding party joined us. I love the shot of Todd with their son! We also made sure that we included some shots by the new stage in Old Market Square since Todd's company was involved in some of the construction.
I also enjoyed shooting some of the unique elements of their wedding such as the bouquets, which were imported from Europe. It was kind of nice for Nikki to not worry about frost-bitten flowers on this colder day. Her dress was really stunning and different too and suited a winter wedding perfectly.
We ended the day off at Four Points by Sheraton Winnipeg South, where Nikki and Todd held both their ceremony and reception. It was a great day.
Thanks guys! Hope you like the images!
